I started my writing career with an idea I had for a Star Trek novel featuring Kirk, Spock and McCoy, who are still my favourite characters from all the series. The book I have put here is the first I ever wrote and after doing some much needed editing I still think It is exciting but most of all has the voice of the original series. I have read many published Star Trek novels in my time but so many of them have the Captain and crew saying things that are out of character. I sometimes wonder if these writers ever watched the show or had any in depth knowledege of it. I found this both annoying and dissapointing so I decided to write my own. This has lead to many years of writing both Star Trek and all kinds of other novels but I still love the original series the best.
Anyway I have put, "Beyond the Veil" here for your enjoyment. The second novel is called "The Plague Ship." The third novel, which is also a original series book and is about what happens when a computer gets too powerful and becomes bored with its role as protector and instead decided to have some fun with a passing Star ship. It is far from "Child's Play" to stop it. Next is one of my personal faviourites "Family Ties," in which I hope I'm able to give the reader a flavour of Kirk's family life and contrast it with his life as Captain of the Enterprise. It is called "Family Ties" because it is about family both in the biological sense and the family you have when you serve on a Star Ship. This novel places Kirk and the crew fighting for the continued exsistance of the Federation. I enjoyed writing it.
